Stari Grad - beautiful small historic town

Stari Grad in historic part of Labin, and certainly worth visiting. With a lunch, it takes cca 2 hours to see all. It will captivate you with its winding streets, small squares, high bell tower and medieval architecture. The historic core has undergone extensive restoration. Facades of houses and palaces, alleys, squares, stairs, churches, everything has a new coat. In the ancient houses you will find stylish cafes and shops with local products. Visit the bell tower os St. Just from 17th century. The whole Labin review read on my blog hamiczech.tips (active link on my Profile). Hamiczech - travel influencer, follow for more travel tips

    What a fascinating place.
My wife & I visited Labin whilst staying in Rabac, we walked the waterfalls trail up to the village, which is a pleasant climb through forestry of around 750 ft. On reaching the village we spent a good a good four to five hours exploring the narrow streets, the museum is not to be missed, it has a replica mine which is very realistic, when you reach the highest point the views are fabulous. We had lunch in a cafe in the market square, the one on the right(not the pizzierra place) & had a fabulous fresh tuna sandwich & a beer, absolutely delicious. There is so much history to experience on your visit.

    Small hilltop town
I would recommend coming here to dine for lunch or dinner, with a short walk around town while you are there. It is very picturesque, with several churches and steep cobbled streets, so flat shoes are advisable. There are several restaurants and bars and a pay and display car park. There are also a handful of shops selling the usual touristy liquers, lavenders and honey etc. There are some great views across to the coastline so worth a trip out for an hour or two.
