Charming little town above beautiful hills

Beautiful smallest town. Great ambience, everything is packed in few charming stone streets. We loved it. You can see a church, a tower, few charming gift shops, a restaurant and the scenery around is gorgeous.

    Pleasantly Surprised
With all the hype, who could resist? Kind of a round about way up to this town coming from Split, but we made it. Park outside, pay your 15 Kuna, and pass through the old stone arch entry. I’m surprised there was so much activity - at least three gift shops, a couple restaurants, three or so places to stay, and a tasting room. Wait, that’s more than 28 right? Super cute town is definitely worth a visit, just wander about for an hour or so. The road out was way better than the road in.

    The World's Smallest Town
The road leading up to this village has been improved but is still narrow and demands alertness. There is a nice parking area and from there, visitors can enter the town. Check out the images on the gate which are a type of agricultural zodiac. The town is a little run down which is part of its charm. It has a wonderful restaurant and a unique museum depicting bygone life in the area. I was told not to miss the bathroom. There are a few shops, especially the Aura distillery which produces excellent brandy. My favorite was Cornalian Cherry. Oh, I wish they sold it in the states! This is a pleasant "off-the-beaten-path" attraction which gives a glimpse of Istria beyond the towns.
