Truffle Hunting and Lunch

Best day ever - Michael picked us up and took us into the countryside with his 3 gorgeous dogs. He was very informative and explained truffle hunting very well. The dogs were well trained and found truffles for us. Afterward Michael took us back to his home where his Mother had prepared the best meal we have had so far in Croatia. Each dish was prepared with Truffles and served with local wines and Lorena’s special grappa. The setting was divine - an outdoor terrace under the vines and overlooking the beautiful istrian countryside. We loved it so much we decided to stay the night and enjoy Motovun.

    The best and most original activity provided by the loveliest local people!
    This was the highlight of our one week vacation around Rovinj. Me and my 2 friends had the pleasure to join Michael and his 3 lovely dogs. This is a super original activity to do. The activity starts in the morning with some truffle hunting. The dogs are very skilled and friendly. I loved Mina (the youngest dog that was in training). After the truffle hunting we were taken at the super beautiful town of Motovun at the family house of Michael and had lunch at their picturesque garden. The dishes were delicious and contained a significant amount of truffle. We were amazed of how original our day was. The lovely family of Michael made us feel very welcome and enhanced the experience to the fullest. They are wonderful hosts! We will return next year for sure.

    Son and dogs hunting, Mom cooking - doesn't get better than this!
    Truffle hunting with Mihael and his 3 dogs exceeded our expectations. Mihael was a joy, and very informative. He made the adventure incredibly fun. The best surprise was lunch with his mother. On the side of the hill in Motovun, in their house, his mother had set a beautiful table, then proceeded to serve a three course meal, with each dish made from black truffles. Many times, travel is about stories and memories, with with this adventure we got both.
