We came for a sightseeing, stayed the whole day

We saw the old Town from the road when we were driving to Labin and decided we had to go there the day after. So we went there to see the old town. First thing that mesmerized us was this purple flowers blossoming from the walls. It was very charming. The stone houses and walls are romantic and taking you to old times. You can see two churches. One dating from 11. century. There are a lot of narrow corridors and streets with arches. There are some very old writings and crests on the walls. The best thing about this place is peace and serenity. It was great experience for us. We felt like we rested for a week by spending a day there. Kids were free to roam the streets and investigate old houses.

    Hidden sculpture garden
Arriving to Plomin on our way back home from a long weekend on Cres island we were astonished by the beauty of this abandoned old town. Walking through the curly roads between the once marvelous now mostly ruinous houses we found life and more over! We followed the singes "Sculptures" and arrived to the garden of Zaharias, a retired architect, who became an artist of life and of wood. He created a workshop and garden with unique atmosphere were you can see the works of Zaharias and some antique tools and equipements from the region around. Zaharias welcomed us with honest pleasure and we decided to come back here next time too. It is truely an authentic and unique experiance to visit his workshop. And moreover, the sculptures are great!!! Thank you Zaharias Zaff!

    Found by accident
Driving through Istria I came across this little historic village that looked interesting. I went for a walk through the small passages and was amazed at the age of the old buildings, some of which are still inhabited by the same family some 700 years later. The view over the valley from here is beautiful. Worth a visit then go to the local restaurant across the road for a brilliant meal.
