Duboka Ship Cruise to Cres and Blue Cave

My family and I were in Rabac August 2014. We took day trip with Duboka boat cruise to Cres and the Blue Cave it was a fantastic day. We had entertainment during the ride - istrian music was played by two musicians (accordean and guitar). We had 1hour and a half to visit the lovely old town of Cress and then at 1 pm a delicious lunch was served on the boat (choice of fish, meat or vegeratrian meal) We all had the fish that was grilled to perfection and cabagge salad with homestyle bread and wine/beer or other drinks of our choice. Aferwards, we docked at a secluded beach and close to the blue cave. The guests were asked to jump off the boat and swim to the cave or beach, what a great adventure! The kids loved it. On our way back we encountered over 50 dolphins that surrounded us it was amazing words cannot describe just beautiful. We got to swim in another secluded beautiful beach close to Rabac and we came back with more music being played on board. Thank you to Alida and the staff and crew for their wonderful hospitality. We highly recommend this tour. The Matosic Family from Canada

Super trip to the Blue Cave and Cres Island, great value
This trip needs to be booked in advance to avoid disappointment, there are a few boats that go to Cres and the Blue Cave but we felt this offered the best value, and the Captain was a friendly, approachable chap, who's actually conversant in several languages and is a classical guitar teacher, which belies his appearance! The trip takes you to the isle of Cres, en route being entertained by musicians and grappa (a welcome treat at 9:30am!!) where you dock for about an hour, giving plenty of time to look around, you then return to the boat for a barbecue lunch of either fish or pork, with bread and cabbage, with a beer, wine, or soft drink. The boat then sets off for the Blue Cave. Even though there were three other large boats moored up, the cave itself was quite empty, and a beautiful sight, you can walk or swim in, we found it easier to swim. You enter the first chamber and think nothing of it, then as you continue. The water gets quite cold and shallow (watch your knees) and then you're there, inside the Blue Cave itself, so called as the light from the outside world comes into the cave under the rock, casting a blue tinge all around. Those with a far larger lung capacity than myself could attempt to dive down and swim out of the cave following the light, however we elected to head back the way we came in and swim back to the boat. The return sail to Rabac was enjoyed with more music, the option to buy more drinks, and was very pleasant. Overall it was only £20 per person which considering it was a full day, with food and drink, was great value.
