Nice getaway with sand beaches!
It was nice to switch things up and visit Levan for a day. A sand beach, which is hard to come by. Price of renting chairs and umbrellas is in-line with other beaches we visited in Istria. Nice local grill as well with average prices. A nice time overall! Only downsides: Beach is kind of shallow for most of it, though you can still find places deep enough. And no one accepts credit card on the island. There are a few restaurants/cocktail bars. I think people would spend more if they could not worry about bringing enough cash with them to the island. There is no ATM anywhere near where you have to take the taxi boat, and of course none on the island either. So bring cash!

A beautiful beach but not very sandy
We got here as a part of a boat trip. The island is very small and quaint. The beach is sandy only on the sore, you’ll struggle walking into the water for a swim as there are stones and rocks (it’s doable but not really sandy). Of course there is not much shade to put a towel in and all beds and umbrellas are payed for. Water is beautiful and clean. Overall a good place to see but not that special.

really nice small island
During our stay at Medulin, we decieded to check something else, than the small beach in the town. The trip to Levan Island for 2 person was 120 kuna. This was a good decision! Taxi boats departures every hour from 9 to 12, and comes back from 15h to 18h. Small island with 3 small grill restaurants,short menu, normal prices - and toilet is an adventure :) There were not more than 40-50 people at the small, sandy beach and a dozen of yachts/small ships. So it is a peaceful, romantic beach and island. Why we loved it? After a few meters (!) you could see in the water different fishes while snorkeling. We spent a few hours in the water being amazed by the ecosystem. Small crabs were running on the rocks, nice white sand is under your feet. Worth 120 kuna.
