Wonderfull place

Magical little place that is a must see. It is not very walking friendly, so you need good hiking shoes. Its pretty unaccesable and you need to watch your step so that you dont fall on the slippery stones and wound youself. There is no one around because the village is deserted - officially abandoned. The one restaurant there did not work while we were visiting. The roads to the village are pretty narrow and you should drive very carefully. Keeping this all in mind, its still a worthwhile place to visit.

Worth the trip out of Pula
What a gem ! Kotli is well off the beaten track, but is so worth the detour when driving north out of Pula. The little stream is gorgeous with the pools and waterfalls (even though the water is full of clay and is thus not very inviting to swim in), and the old watermill is beautiful.

Mirna river and waterfall excellent for swimming and cooling down
Kotli is a nice little place to visit when you're in the neighbourhood (e.g. visiting Hum). Maybe we were lucky, but when we visited Kotli, the Mirna river was loaded with water. The place also offered nice swimming opportunity, and we even climbed all the way down the waterfall to the lowest point. Kotli village itself is a very small hamlet. Only a few people (max 5) living there. And some tourists, due to the holiday houses (nicely restored old houses). The restaurant near the river is nicely located and basic.
