Fantastic

This is a wonderful festival, which takes place every evening in July and in addition, it is free entry. Just grab a bite to eat and something to drink, then take a sit on the city walls and enjoy the music. Furthermore, Grožnjan is very beautiful and charming, so I recommend that you walk through the streets of this amazing little town.

    Unusual place to chill at
    Coffee in an amazingly relaxing and chilled out place back in time. Unusual jazzy corner of Bale that we just happened across and served a welcome refreshment. Love the laid back feel and friendly atmosphere. Also serves food and has a small number of boutique rooms.

    Broad sense Jazz / like meeting point
    Summer open air jazz festival dedicated to its founder and father Bosko Petrovic is Groznjan-Grisignana's summer brand. It is really the experience but come prepared. It is open air and free attendance but it also means that people come to drink beer and good wine and talk to each other. It is meeting point not ultimate clear sound experience. I used to visit it since its beginning so I may say Jazz is Back has its flavor and tune, but quality may vary. Out of 20 evenings, around 3-5 are extra top level, some 7-10 others are very good music, the rest is between Ok and let's hope it will be better next year. It starts usually around 9:30 pm and ends after 11 pm. If you are lucky you may witness some of best jazz of your life, but be generous and open your heart to musicians who are invited to get some experience. However, don't focus on music only, enjoy meeting people and loving this charming old town. Good wine and/or beer helps but I enjoy last several years with no alcohol either.
