Hidden Gem. Worth a climb

One of many heritages of the Austrian-Hungarian kingdom in Istria. The city of Pula was a naval stronghold, dating back to the Roman Empire. The fort was built in 1862 and is a sight to see. They should turn this into a proper museum. It now just sits there, waiting to turn into ruins. Go see it, the views on land and see are both breathtaking.

    Why can't one visit it?
Looks great from the outside and is in a perfect location, overlooking the entrance to the harbour. It must be great for clubbing (for those who like it), but it's a shame it's not open for regular tourist visits. Would be great to see the inside. There's parking available right next to it.
