A ‘Fakin’ good time
Fakin winery is located at the bottom of the medieval town Motovun, surrounded by gorgeous vineyards in which Istrian grape varieties are grown. Several different labels of quality wine are produced with grapes grown on 30 hectares of vineyards. To make your gastronomic experience complete, the Fakin family opened a restaurant in which traditional Istrian dishes pair with excellent local wines.

Excellent Winery!
Today was my third visit to Fakin, twice last year and my first (more will come) this trip. I loved the wines last year, especially the Primula Malvasia. This year was even better because we were hosted by Luca. He’s an absolute delight...knowledgeable, friendly, and very welcoming. As always, Fakin Good Wines!!!

Wow- amazing wine and friendly service
We are staying in a villa very near to this winery, so we popped by to pick up some supplies. Greeted by a very friendly young lady, who spoke excellent English, she turned out to be the niece of the wine maker. We chose to try the white and rose wines, and loved them. We bought 4 bottles at 50k each. (About £6) Perfect!
