The first mention of the Belaj estate dates back to the XI century in XIV it is mentioned under the name of Bray in 1367. The nearby medieval castle Possert, the former hub of the landholding, dates from this period. When Possert was abandoned in the early XVII century Daniele Barbo built Castle Belaj as the new residence. Today you can visit Castle Belaj for wine degustation, seasonal menu as well as have a historical walks around vineyards to near by Possert Ruins.

We took the road to the Castle Belaj for the first time ever and it was such a pleasure. Everything was just perfect: ambient, meal, wine, music and hosts. 5 stars without any doubt. Will be back for sure ;)
