Wonderful Olive Oil Tasting

My husband and I loved the tour. Rene, our tour guy, was excellent, very knowledgeable and passionate about the family olive oil business. We learned about the history of their business, how the olive oil is made, and how the olive oil is graded. We loved the fresh meat/cheese/fruit plate, homemade wine, and olive oil tasting experience. We highly recommend this private tour if you come to Croatia.

    I literally knew nothing about Croatian olive oil. This tour changed that. And I am forever grateful.
    My wife and I live in Oakland California, which also has a Mediterranean climate. We have two different fruit bearing olive trees in our front yard. For a dozen or more years I have been harvesting the fruit and brining the olives for eating. It was a great joy to walk among old olive trees and see them up close. I believe Rene indicated that there are over 500 trees made up of 13 different varietals that they press into their delicious Croatian olive oil. After the tour where I was able to share and gain information about olive cultivation, we were treated to a wonderful wine and a Croatian appetizer plate of cold cuts, cheeses, bread, and, of course, delicious olive oil produced on site. This is a tour well worth taking.

    Great experience with great food!
    The tour and presentation were very informative and the local food was delicious! In addition to the olive oil tasting and grove tour we booked a fish barbecue which was prepared by the owner/tour guide himself and was fresh and delicious as well. The setting where we ate was also beautiful and we had a nice view over the olive trees.
