Nice place to relax
Float in the water, clean yourself with the mud and swim afterwards in IssyKul (right next to it). Perfect place for a nice afternoon. Quite far from highway. 75min drive from Bokonbaevo. Taxi costed us 1500som both way including 1,5 hour wait.

Dead Lake in Kyrgyzstan
Tuz-Kol is in the Issyk Kul Region and its 70 km from Balykchi and its a its not really close to the road. The lake it self is quite small but very interesting and worth seeing. There is many yurt camps and its possible to camp next to the lake. Make sure to bring your own food and make sure to plan ahead for transportation! People say that the lake is 70% salt.

Small lake not worth visit and difficult road - corrupt ticket office
The lake is small and salty, but this is really not a big deal. Maybe 100 x 50m. Road from ringroad to reach lake is troubled w tricky offroad elements. Only go w 4w Ticket office is selling fotocopied tickets and overcharging foreigners. Corrupt and un-welcoming behaviour. Avoid
