Great insight into life for medieval Maltese nobility
I popped into the Palazzo Falson during a brief few hours in Mdina. I was short on time but so pleased I made time to visit here as it is such a beautiful property. The lady at the front desk was so friendly and gave me an electronic device to use walking round that gives interesting information on each room. Originally medieval, there is a mixture of different historical influences on the decor through refurbishments over time. It was also home to artist Olaf Gollcher. My favourite areas were the courtyard area with stone staircase and fountain because it was just so zen and idyllic and I also loved the kitchen with majolica tiles. I didn't have time to try the cafe sadly but hope to revisit if I am in Malta again. I would definitely recommend adding it to your list of places to see whilst in Mdina.

    Beautifully curated small museum
Because I go very slow to take in each room, I spent 2 hours here, not including the cafe stop upstairs (beautiful place to sit down and refresh). Audio guide is included with 10 euros admission and I like how the audio guide is simple walkthrough that points and explains the highlights. Simply love the "lived-in" museum experience.
