    Overshadows the Cathedral
I have to say the museum was more impressive than the Cathedral itself, especially if you’ve already seen St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta. If you’re short on time and can’t see both the cathedral and the museum, go for the museum and take your time there. Some awfully gorgeous paintings which I honestly didn’t expect to find, and special religious memorabilia. Worth a visit!

    Mdina Metropolitan Cathedral Museum
Mdina Metropolitan Cathedral Museum was impressive, it is lovely baroque building located right next door to the cathedral. The silver statues that you pass when you enter are remarkable, the oldest bell of Malta is in this museum, numerous religious painting as well as a collection of Maltese coins and so much more. I recommend reading about the collection before you go in.
