Balluta Bay, Island of Malta, Malta

4.0 (6 reviews) Spent Ranking #13 in Saint Julian's Bodies of Water

Beautiful Balluta

Fabulous area to stay in Malta. The view out over the bay is superb. Very clean and safe with a good range of places to eat and stay. There is a tiny beach, but then Malta is really about swimming off the rocks.

    Small beach in Nice surroundings
Nice small sandy beach in a small cove in St Julians Bay with an almost ampitheatre feel as there are a series of steps running nearly the full width so plenty of room to sit as this beach does get very busy as it's only a small beach. Beach itself is quite dirty with small pieces of litter and fag ends which is a shame as it's a nice cove with fairly shallow water to paddle out into. Looks like a locals beach and more traditional as there are no beds or brollys so make sure you grab some shade as it was 40 degrees when we were there and there is no escaping it apart from the sea. Beach is in a nice area just off the main promenade surrounded by old buildings. Enjoyed a few hours here

    Such a shame
Such a shame about rubbish , small beach could be lovely as the sea is stunning , at close look the beach is covered in ciggerete ends and rubbish , i cannot believe people leave so much rubbish , it would also only take 30 minutes to rake this beach each night Such a shame it could be lovely
