Paradise on earth

Stunning, almost private beach I'd love to visit again sometime. we took the ferry from San Juan and spent the night on the island. I wish we had allocated more time. We visited several beaches, the tiny Museum in town, It's a Beautiful island With beautiful Horses running the island and beaches. I'm glad the US Navy was finally pushed out it's sad to know the damage they did to the island.

Beaches of Vieques National Wildlife Reserve
This is the last beach that the road leading to is perfectly paved once you enter the Vieques National Wildlife Reserve and it's also the "complete one" - big parking lot, restrooms, some wooden umbrellas for shade and shaded picnic tables (though no food booths or vendors in a really looong drive so bring everything you need with you!). The water is very calm and the views pretty, especially if you compare the east end of it with the small forest behind it versus the west side in the distance with a very rough big rock wall! We saw a lot people snorkeling but I can't say anything on that as we didn't take any equipment with us not expecting this :( During our COVID January 2021 visit it was supposed to be open from 3PM only on the weekends and regular times during the week (what a very knowledgeable local confirmed even) but sadly it did not open until 3PM during the week day we stopped by... some of its beauty does get diminished in the later time of the day as you simply don't get to see it in full "light"... so when you come to enjoy it make sure it's open as you need to enter the Park through the main gate (free of charge) TIP: all other beaches after it like La Chiva, La Plata and so on require you to go on gravel - it's a bit bumpy but overall very good condition but wouldn't take a golf card, it's just a really long distance to drive on it - so Caracas is your "last great bet"

    Lovely white sand beach
Lovely beach. Fine white sand, turquoise water, sweet little bay. Ample parking (might get a little crowded) but it was pretty chill when we went in the mid-late afternoon. Bathroom, picnic tables under shelters so that works pretty well if one available for you. We really liked this spot.
