This stretch of beach on the eastern end of Laganas Bay is famous for its fine white sand and mountainous views. It's part of the Zakynthos Marine Park and is a nesting ground for the endangered Caretta Caretta turtles. If you're lucky, you might see the turtles nesting and hatching between May and October. Even though some areas are cordoned off and sea sports aren't allowed to protect the turtles, there's still plenty to do here. The shallow gentle waters are great for swimming and families, there are sunbeds for rent, plus restaurants and resorts. Great, partially organised beach
One of the gorgeous beaches we visited on Zakynthos. Shallow, flat water, sandy beach. It was partially organized with sunsets to hire for €5 per person, but self-service for food and drink at the beach entry. Definitely must be visited.

Stunning beach
The beach is clean and plenty of deck chairs. Turtle nests are clearly marked with wooden frames and the beach closes at dusk to allow safe hatching for the turtles. The water is crystal clear and almost as warm as a bath. You can safely walk out 200m before the water depth goes above your head. Fish swim around your feet and you can see the odd crab. There is boat/pedalo hire along with a cafe with selection of ice cream and come drinks. The planes fly in over the beach about 200m above your head which is great to watch. This is one of the best beaches I’ve visited.
