Wow

I have been to cities around the world and visited many museums of this type. Few are as impressive as this one in regard to the beauty and shear size of the building itself. It is new and not filled up with exhibits yet. However, the ones they have already--on oceans, science in the home, the human body, space and space travel, and Mongolian medicine--are all pretty interesting. Great for young kids as there are a lot of hands on exhibits. Also, it is free. The Science and Technology Museum is directly behind the new Inner Mongolia museum. Oh...and also it is free with domestic ID card or passport.

    Impressive building
    This is a VERY impressive bulding. It is located directly behind (North) of the Inner Mongolia Museum. The visit is free and worth it. However, most of the exhibits and explanations are only in Mandarin. This being said, given that the entrance is free it is a must see even if you cannot read Mandarin. There are three floors with exhibits, plus you can see IMAX movies. Many of the exhibits have interactive components and unfortunately many were already damaged when I visited, hopefully they will be repaired soon.

    For kids to spend some time
    Some interesting experiments of physic inside for kids to play and learn and an exhibition dedicate to the space. Mostly for kids than adults
