Complete the walks between karst phenomena and other attractions of the Green karst with a tour of the new permanent karst exhibition in the Notranjska Museum Postojna. The exhibition expertly and clearly demonstrates exhibits from the formation of the karst landscape to the modern life in the karst. Dissolution of limestone, a Neanderthal family from the cave Betalov spodmol, a valuable treasure from Predjama Castle and a slenderneck beetle under a microscope are just some of the fantastic gems that will remain imprinted in your memory forever.

Interesting exhibition, no crowds!
Surprising gem! The first floor was a little hit and miss, but the second floor is all about the caves and for only 5euro, bargain! Very interesting history on the region too Tip is to visit on the way back to the train station - air conditioning to break up the summer heat!

Pleasant surprise!
Given that there isn’t a lot going on in the town, the chances are that you will have a bit of spare time after / before visiting the caves or the castle, so this is a good way to fill in an hour, even if you are not particularly interested in the Karst. The exhibits are well presented and clearly explained and the young lady working there was particularly friendly and helpful. There are some imaginative areas and it was excellent value for money, although you only need an hour to get around everything. The museum is still very new and it is right in the town centre.
