Best Zipline Exoerience

The entire experience from booking, being able to get answers before the event, check-in, guides, the course, and the family that runs Zip Chicago is absolutely the best. I would recommend the Zipline experience to anyone. We had people afraid of heights, an 80th birthday, etc and everyone of us loved it. They went out of the way to make the experience and 80th birthday event special.

Night Tour is Awesome, Great Guides!
I took my 2 boys, ages 11 and 14 . . . this was the first time for all of us. We did the night tour and it was awesome! The guides were so great and patient with the kids while having fun with them at the same time. I was scared to death but by the 3rd zip line, I was comfortable I was in very good hands and now we are all hooked. We can't wait to get back and try it during the day. It was a little tough walking through the trails in the dark but after a while we got used to it and the guides had flashlights so it wasn't bad after we got used to it. I would HIGHLY recommend it. Loads of fun!

    Fun!
This was part of our itinerary for a visit to the Chicago area. It was also my first experience of Zip Lining. They have 2 Zip options - the short one has 2 zip lines and the long one has 8. There are 2 suspension bridges of increasing difficulty on both. We did the short one, and this review is based on that. What I Liked 1. The guides friendly and professional. 2. The experience of zipping was amazing! 3. One of the children in our group was scared to go and the guide handled the situation very well. He went on to enjoy his first zipping experience too. 4. They take care of hooking you up and braking etc for you. You may not like this if you are an experienced zipper, but as a first timer, I didn't mind not having to worry about that bit. What I didn't like: 1. We were told that we HAD TO report a half hour before the start time or our registration would be cancelled and there would be no refund. This was so that we could be geared up and instructed by the guides and could start ON TIME. Since we were staying an hour's drive away, we rushed through breakfast to make it on time for our 10:30 registration. Only to be told there was a "mix up" and the guide didn't know she was working that day. It was past 11:30 when we finally started zipping. Considering I had chosen the short tour only to be able to do more things in one day, I wasn't very happy about the delay. They didn't even really apologise for wasting our time. 2. The website says they have a ratio of 12:1 people per guide, which makes you think there will be at most 12 people in a group. Our group had 15/16 people! This made for really long waits on each platform, none of which were big enough to allow that many people to stand comfortably. Overall, we definitely enjoyed the experience of zipping. I recommend : 1. Wear clothes that wont get in the way of wearing the harness etc 2. Definitely take your camera, but make sure you have a way of securing it to yourself (strap etc) 3. If like me you get hungry quickly, plan for unexpected delays like ours and bring a snack. They do sell water and soda on location, and also have a vending machine with snack bars and chips.
