Climbing the steps up to the 2nd floor to get into the mailbox gives you the perspective you need to appreciate just how big this is. There is a mail drop slot upstairs into a collection box if you want to mail a letter. Shouldn't be hard to spot the mailbox from the street.

The Most Popular Photo Op of Casey's Giant Collection
Access to the huge interior space of the World's Largest Mailbox is via two flights of metal stairs inside the "post" supporting the box, with access from the rear via a walkway passing the shops immediately east of the attraction. Once inside the Box, you'll have a good view of Downtown Casey along Main Street and have the opportunity for your family/friends who stayed at ground level to snap your photo. Well worth the climb AND the view.

Be sure to bring a letter to mail
This, along with the chair, we’re my two favorite attractions in town. You enter through the rear of the post and ascent three flights of stairs into the mailbox itself. Important!! If you bring a letter to mail, placing it in the slot will trigger a mechanism which raises the giant flag on the outside of the mailbox. And yes, the mail is picked up
