Rare covered bridge in this part of the country
Early wood bridges were covered to protect the structure from the elements. Those that survived have become interesting attractions. The original Wolf Covered Bridge was burned by vandals years ago but was rebuilt to retain the historical value. When I visited, the area had just had heavy rains flooding the river and overflowing the banks onto neighboring fields and road. Still enjoyed seeing this example of early Americana. I wanted to add pictures but, this being the first to review, wasn't an option.
