Great root beer, people, and service

My daughter and I went here to pick up some root beer during our family vacation, and we love the people, the place, and the root beer. We were able to just come into the main barn/service area and pick up our root beer for carry out. It was reasonably priced, and it came in a souvenir bottle that we could keep for future use. While we were there, I had a small chat with the owners about their business and story, and they were happy to share their experience and insight. This is a great family business with a great product, and I highly recommend that you check it out if you're passing through or staying in the Lena region. The root beer is a dynamite combination with pizza. Also, I want to note that they were super clean and I felt safe when I was there, which was nice during COVID.

    What a Find
Driving back to Rockford from Lena and saw a blue sign for area attractions that pointed down an unmarked paved road to a brewery. Decided to check it out and could not have stumbled on a nicer place. Quiet little taproom in the garage/barn behind the house with plenty of house made beers and farm produce grown on the farm. Quite busy with about a dozen locals. I love to see local families make a success out of their passions.

Great brews & views in northern IL/Freeport, IL area
Wow, decent microbrews on tap and this large outdoor seating area as well as some indoor seating and a big shelter where you can have a large group picnic, etc. Plenty of parking. Just outside Freeport on way to Lena and Cedarville. Worth a visit.
