A Garden of Ideas
The University Arboretum is relatively small compared to publicly/privately operated facilities around the country, but it has 160 acres of land to provide open green vistas and quiet wooded corners with many well-kept landscapes & gardenscapes to explore & enjoy. My wife & I were pleasantly surprised by the variety of plants & themed garden areas, and we especially appreciated the Idea Garden where we took notes & photos to inspire next spring's backyard garden projects back home. We'd recommend a visit to the Arboretum by anyone living in or visiting the area who enjoys a pleasant outdoor walk, while admiring the handiwork of the University of Illinois' College of Agricultural, Consumer & Environmental Sciences (ACES) students. Thanks to the School for sharing this beautiful space with the public.

This place is visually stunning
I went here with my daughter last weekend. All I can say is that it is beautiful and makes you really appreciate man's interaction with nature. The adjacent "Idea Garden" made me want to go home and dig in the dirt. Both are lovely and I will be back very soon.

Beautiful during July and August!
This location has some of the areas best floral arrangements (imo) and to be there in late July after 6pm is amazing. If your planning a wedding or just a photo session this is a can't go wrong area.
