Great course for golf outings.
The team at Timber Pointe really know how to run a nice golf outing for any group or organization. I’ve attended as a player and a just a lunch guest and both times it has been very entertaining.

One of the most fun in the area
This course, open to the public since 2002, has grown into one of the favorites of residents in Northern Illinois and the Wisconsin Stateline area. The course is challenging from the back tees and deligful from the front tees. After a couple years of serious water problems on the lower fairways along Poplar Grove Road, the drainage has improved so that the water is often a hazard but rarely an impediment to play. The course hosts numerous play days and tournaments. It has several active leagues and numerous special events. Some of the best are summer evenings with live music on the patio overlooking the practice green. My favorite hole are 12 and 13 when the wind is strong out of the West. First you drive into the protected 12th green from the wide open tee with the wind at your back. Then you drive into a wide open fairway on the 13th from a narrow, protected tee also with the wind at your back. When there is no west wind my favorites are the par 4 10th and par 3 8th.
