Wife and I visit the playhouse this summer to see their production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Theater was reopened after being closed last year, and the building and surrounding areas were clean and well-maintained. Not much distancing maintained with seating, but they did keep one chair open between different groups in each row. Masks were not required/enforced. The actual production was very well done. Performers did a great job with their singing and dancing. Costuming was interesting and entertaining. Set design and usage was one of the most impressive aspects of the show. Love how they make use of the rotating floor to change sets. Music was very well done, too. Only criticism that I had with the performance was that the instrumental music and vocal singing weren’t balanced at times (i.e., instruments would drown out the singer’s voices so you couldn’t understand the lyrics). Prices are very reasonable for a 1½+ hour live performance. You’re not paying for a Broadway production, but you’re still getting a solidly good show for a fair price.
