Thomas Lincoln Cemetery, Illinois, United States
4.0 (7 reviews) Spent Ranking #2 in Lerna Cemeteries
Shiloh Cemetery is small, a "place of peace", and completes story from Thomas Lincoln farm site
Modest sized cemetery with both an old section and new section beside charming brick church. Largest and most prominent stones are for Thomas Lincoln and his wife, Abe's stepmother, Sarah, so they're very easy to locate. Middle of nowhere but good directional signage if you approach from main roads (it's more difficult to find your way OUT of the area and back to an interstate). Well cared for, maintained at least in part by Lincoln Log Cabin site workers.

Small, east to find Lincoln graves
The Lincoln graves are very easy to find, as the cemetery is small. They are to the left of the church. At the back left corner of the parking lot, is the first monument that was erected. The grave was originally marked simply with a TL. At the far back of the cemetery, there is a war memorial.

Good War Memorial
Thomas Lincoln's grave is underwhelming and fenced in.. It is impossible to get a picture of the entire monument without including the iron fence. The war memorial was much more interesting and included Afghanistan.
