Great Hometown Feeling Bar!
Ive had Dirty Gin and Tonics at the St Louis Symphony Orchestra, The Fox theatre and other "up scale" venues in the St Louis Area but, the Dirty Gin and Tonic's I received at The Wooden Nickel were the best ratio'ed drinks I've ordered in the St. Louis, Metro Illinois area over the past 20+ years!!! Kudos to the Mixologist at The Wooden Nickel in Glen Carbon Il. You Rock!!! 12/13/19.

Always good
We have been here several times, usually for lunch or dinner when we visit our son at SIUE. It's always good. The service is always friendly and fast. I would recommend.

Nice spot
Probably a 4.5 -- we enjoyed this spot for lunch. The Friday special of cod + 2 sides was great, Cole slaw and potato salad very nice. The Cuban sandwich was good, but not particularly flavorful and should have been served on better bread than a Kaiser roll. Very attentive server and fun atmosphere. Outdoor seating area was packed and shaded, being on north side of the restaurant.
