Art At The Glen
My wife & I were visiting family in the area, and we spent a couple of hours on a sunny Saturday at The Glen strolling through the annual summertime art fair in the central corridor of this outdoor shopping center. The vendors in their rows of tents were plentiful with lots of variety (paintings, photography, sculptural pieces, jewelry, handmade furnishings, health & beauty products among other items). The outdoor mall space was clean & attractive, with well maintained & colorful plantings throughout. There is free parking streetside & in a centrally located garage. The retail shops are largely high-end product sellers, and there are several dining & drinking options to satisfy most appetites & budgets. The Glen is an excellent destination for the whole family to enjoy for shopping & dining & scheduled cultural events.

Best Birthday Party Ever
My grandson celebrated his fifth birthday here in Glenview and it could not have been better. There were physical activities for kids of various ages and abilities. Nobody felt left out. The on-site supervision was friendly, helpful and efficient. The party room was clean and sufficient, and the food was liked by all the children. Best of all, it was extremely reasonable from a cost standpoint. I have a strong feeling this will be a go to place for many years - be it for a party or just a day of fun!

Versatile development, dine, shop, bike & more!
Looking for a great restaurant in a spot you can take a nice walk, meet for coffee, visit an amazing kids museum, see a movie, do some grocery shopping, and pick up a pair of shoes while you’re there? The Glen’s where to go. Outdoor (and indoor) dining options such as pizza, sushi, family fave The Yard House, Ben & Jerrys, Starbucks and more. There’s also a comfortable movie theater with reserved seating, lots of great boutiques plus the department store, Von Maur, can keep you busy for several hours, especially on a nice day. Stop by on a summer Tuesday evening and enjoy a concert in the square. Ample parking along the main drag, as well as in many of the parking structures built in/near the town center. Beyond the town center, the park district has an indoor building with facilities for exercise, private event space and even a fun water park for little ones. There are beautiful trails for bike riding and walking and a park to play. Even the history of The Glen has stories to share since it used to be the Glenview Naval Air Base before the government closed it in the early 90s. Chicago’s annual air and water show planes used to use it for take off and landings, often stopping traffic along Willow Road to catch a close up of the dynamic Blue Angels. (The Gary Indiana airport has since taken over airport duty.)
