A great stop in Shawnee National Forest
We are so glad we made this stop. The hike was a relatively quick one, but you had to watch your step, as there were alot of roots and rocks, as with many places in the area. We only hiked to the top of Stoneface, as we were on a schedule, but well worth the stop. We were the only ones there. It's amazing to see this and you would think someone sat there and carved it - that's how real it looks. Along the trail up, we also passed a small cave. Once you get to the top, it's a fantastic view of the area.
