Great view of Chicago

Don't miss out on visiting Skydeck Chicago, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. Check out the various exhibits here before heading straight up to the 103rd floor via a 70-second elevator ride. Visit on a clear day for panoramic views through floor-to-ceiling windows, where you can even see into the states of Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin or Indiana. For the adventurous, step out onto the Ledge, a glass box protruding 4.3 feet from the building. Skip the line at the elevator with a V.I.P pass. You can also choose the Chicago CityPASS for expedited entry, discounted admission and to combine your visit with other attractions in the city. – Tripadvisor

Amazing views and a fantastic visitor experience!
We visited the Willis Tower Skydeck on our first morning in Chicago using our GoCity pass, and we’re very glad we did. Entry was a very simple affair, simply showing the pass and they book you on to the next available slot. Once you’ve been through security, you enter into the interactive museum, which was a huge surprise for us, as it really told the story of a Chicago, the past and the present, and what makes Chicago so special. We didn’t really anticipate that there would be so much information and fun to be hand in these exhibits, and we do recommend setting an hour aside to give them the time they need. It was very well put together, with lots of information and some great photo opportunities too. Once you’ve finished in the interactive experience, you can board your lift and head to the skies. Skydeck is one of the tallest observation platforms in the world, so if you’re not a fan of heights, give this a wide berth. The views are nothing short of epic, and you literally feel on top of the world. It’s an amazing experience, and on a clear day you can see for miles and miles. If you’re feeling particularly brave, make sure you take on The Ledge, where you can step out over the viewing platform and look right below you, over 1000ft. They take a photo of you doing it and you can also take photos yourself which is great. We would highly recommend spending a couple of hours exploring the Skydeck in Chicago. It’s interactive museum is a great added bonus alongside the impressive views.

    Great view of Chicago
Visited the last Tuesday of April 2022. We arrived at the 9am opening, so there was no crowd to get in. We used CityPass for admission, which saved on the admission price, but by using CityPass, you also have to secure a separate admission pass (at no extra cost) for the Skydeck which required visitors to select a time of day for your visit. We quickly got in the elevator to the top which offered spectacular views of the city facing in all directions. We also stepped into the glass to get great views below the glass deck. After taking photos, we went to the first floor where they have a mini museum illustrating the history of the building and displays showing interesting facts about Chicago. It was well worth the visit and it didn't take that long - our entire visit lasted an hour. It was cloudy for us, but we still had good views. They did allow backpacks to carry water, snacks, umbrella, etc., but they check them for safety. Obviously, it's best to go on a clear day to get the best views.
