Sketchbook believes beer is art you can drink. Inspired by the loyalty of their 400 members and the sheer fun of creating a wide range of historical and adventurous beer styles, Sketchbook considers their brewery a yeast studio. They are fiercely devoted to building beer by hand, right in the heart of Evanston. Flagship brews include Orange Door IPA, Snowy Owl Red Rye Ale, and Night Game Double IPA. Recent recognition includes international awards (silver medal in Copa Cervezas de América) and Design Awards for their intimate Tap Room (Design Evanston, Excellence in Interior Design, 2017).

An Evanston MUST SEE
There are few things I love more than patronizing a business that is created from 1000% passion. This local craft brew and taproom is not only delicious, but creative, and born from complete passion for craft brews! The place is intimate and inviting, and the beer selections are spot on (with creatively whimsical names). Even the labeling on their canned product is standout from the typical "man can" art you find at other breweries. Sketchbook has style, and it's artful through and through. And they know how to create truly unique craft flavors . . .

Excellent new neighborhood tap room
We are so happy to have the new tap room open down the street from us. We have been enjoying their beer and attending their events since they started brewing because my husband is a member, but now we have a much nicer place to go sit and have a beer before we walk to one of our local restaurants. The beer is excellent and I love the way they have decorated the place. I also love that the place has a great, low key feel to it. It doesn't feel like a bar/pickup joint. It's people from the neighborhood and friends of the owners hanging out. Very comfortable. Love it!
