Very peaceful morning the day I went
I wandered Sinnissippi Park for a few hours before going to the Conservatory. I started on the south end and walked all the way to the end of the rose garden and back. There are plenty of interesting plaques and art to see, including the Rock Men sculptures, which are impressive. I happened to be out on a perfect Friday morning. I sat on a bench and enjoyed the mid-60's temps, sun, and the sounds of birds and the river. There were plenty of people out walking, jogging, or biking and most everyone was pleasant.

Rockford Park
Nice place to visit in Rockford, you can walk & sit around the pond, there are ducks in pond. If you like to bike they have a nice bike path. Seasonally the boat rides are offered by the park.
