Can’t go wrong really, especially if you get there as it opens. Pretty compact and the new water park looks like it is going to be fun. Staff could cheer up a bit considering It is for kids. Can do most of it in under 3 hours and go on many rides many times. Parking is right there. Look out for the specials. Sign up for their emails etc. A lick of paint here and there wouldn’t harm it. But if you have little ones and don’t want to deal with the crazy pricing and lines at six flags then you and especially them will live this place. Fun times. Also great that depending on weather it opens for a short time in winter too, unlike most other outdoor things on northern Illinois.

My Kids Will Always Remember This
This little Santa Claus themed amusement park and petting zoo was sold and almost lost its life. But luckily it was purchased and is making a comeback with a new coaster in the works. The rides, the theme is old fashioned and I like that. The people here are so friendly and the park is clean. There were very few lines when we went and the operators of the rides would let you ride again without getting off and back on. There's a dragon boat, restored carousel, bumper cars, tilt a whirl, balloon race, mini coaster, fire truck ride, kiddie rides, antique u-drive cars, magic shows, exotic animal show, petting farm with many animals to feed and reptile house with ring-tailed lemurs. Handlers walk the park with animals (like a bobcat) so you can get an "uncaged" look at them. There isa large parakeet room where you can feed the parakeets which we did twice! It was awesome. We had a great time. So much more relaxed than the six flags experience. There's also a picnic grove by a pond and you can bring your own food in or purchase the usual amusement park fare including hot dogs, brats, chicken nuggets, pizza, fries, ice cream, funnel cakes, soft pretzels, mini donuts, etc. had a great time. Needs a couple more rides. Check out the North Pole when you go. Great for kids and animal lovers.
