Hickory Point

Beautiful, spacious small campground on a beautiful, peaceful lake. To top it off, hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. We were unable to level our motorhome on the site we reserved. Despite the park being full, the hosts went way beyond our expectation, made arrangements to accommodate us and moved us to a more level spot.

    great camping
stayed at deer run for a few days, very clean, quit campground. the lake is right down the road, didnt like the way they have the dumping station, you have to turn around very sharp to get everything lined up on the drivers side.. poor design will go caming there again though. i have one suggestion to the lake DNR, we were kayaking and a lone duck came up to us and had a fishing string and part of a hook around its neck , after 3 trys and jerked it out. the lake DNR need to put string boxes around the fishing areas to encurage people to put there leftr over string in them. i know how animals suffer with hooks and string wrapped around them. eagles, turtles, fish and ducks. it dont cost that much to do. PLEASE DO IT!!

    No Showers!
There are two camping areas at sangchris Lake. Deer Run and Hickory point. Both are very nice. Hickory Point is first come first serve , Deer Run you are able to reserve your campsite. What they failed to tell you is that there is no showers at Deere run you have to drive over a mile to Hickory Point to use the showers. Two separate camp share one shower house.
