Route 34 Drive-in, Illinois, United States

4.5 (10 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Earlville Movie Theaters

Drive in- Family Run Business

A fantastic experience. The tariff is reasonable and concessions are high, but you can get dinners, snacks, and beverages. You tune into your automobile's radio for movie sound. Finally, it's a family operated business- they put in a strong effort to give you a great movie experience. You always get a double-feature.

Favorite place to go during the summer
Great place! We love going here with our kids and enjoying 2 movies and all their snacks. You have to get there early to get in line but we’ll worth the $10!

Amazing experience! Love this historic paradise in the cornfields.
Route 34 Drive In - It's historic. It still encapsulates so much of my childhood growing up here. Nothing much has changed except for my appreciation of this fine establishment. As my interests grew in photography this place is at the core of my favorite memories. I applaud the owner for keeping this place open so that I could bring my daughters to it. Returning to the Route 34 Drive In with my girls is how Ive helped them see and understand the life I had in Illinois. We have now included this drive in theater as part of our family traditions to return to. The station where food, snacks and pop are sold is in great shape and still has the sheen it did when I was 17 and visited this place way back in my youth. Prices are reasonable for what you get. I would actually pay three times the amount though just to support this business and for the nostalgia you get to observe and take in. The owner is ultra cool and has even allowed me to photograph the inside of the reel film where the movies are played from. I understand now they are digital so what I did capture can't be captured as easily anymore! This Drive In theater is one of the few remaining in the United States that is still in working operation. Most have closed down. This drive in has a complete grassy field area that kids can run around in and have fun. It's safe and when I come here its as though I am returning to the year 1982. I can't thank the owner for keeping this paradise open. Its as grand now as it was then! Thank you!!!
