Locale better than the wines
We stopped here on the way to Galena. It's take a bit of finding, but the locale and the winery itself are beautiful. The wine tasting was $11 for seven tastes, which is a bit steep and too much of a good thing. I would have gotten better information from fewer tastes. Their wines were pretty typical for the Midwest: they could produce decent sweet wines but not good dry ones. You can get lunch here, but it will be a frozen pizza.

Staff/owners are very nice
I don't care for their wines. They are big on telling you why you should like their wines... low tannins, low sugar, reduced oakiness. Ultimately I found them lacking in flavor except for the incredible amount of oakiness. I never get heartburn and I was greatly affected by their wines I suspect it's from high acidity. Overall there are better wineries in the area.

Beautiful location
Beautiful location, fantastic lodge like building. Did not really like their wines, but the hurricane slushie was good. English sheepdog was chasing dream bunnies while we sampled. Again, beautiful location.
