So happy to see this place thriving again under new ownership!
This was our favorite place to go in Grafton until they sold out to Lorton a couple of years ago. Now they have new owners who seem to really want to make it a fun place again. The food is good, the prices are excellent & they have really fun bands playing - especially Outlaw Opry!

By any standards of this quaint village of Grafton, Illinois the Piasa Pub and Winery fits in as well as the river does. We've been to the Piasa Winery over 13 years watching it change hands and grow. Yesterday (8/2/14) we had lunch there and ordered the standard cheeseburger with chips. When the waitress took our order she asked if we'd like to "add" lettuce, tomato and onion with it - of course, we did. Not knowing that each piece of lettuce, tomato and onion would cost 50 cents. So for 1 wilted piece of lettuce it was 50 cents, 1 slice (transparent) tomato 50 cents, onion slice 50 cents. That was a $1.50 additional for the burger. So our advice when ordering at the Piasa Winery is to have the server tell you exactly what the price will be. Burgers: $6.50 - Lettuce tomato onion addtl $1.50 - experience: a learning one.
