Small zoo - great for small children
This small zoo is a surprise in Aurora, dating back over 100 years It only takes about 30 minutes to see everything if you're on your own, probably an hour with small children. Easy for small children to navigate. They have elk, bald eagles, a turkey vulture, an owl, a handful of reptiles, a wolf, a cougar, tortoise, alpacas, goats, a red-tailed hawk and peacocks. There's also an indoor section near the front featuring Mastodon fossils found when the park was created. It continues to be upgraded and is well-maintained - and FREE to the public.

A nice little zoo
For a free zoo you can't beat it. They have foxes and 2 pumas. They even have an indoor reptile house where they have 2 crocodiles. Sea otters, elks, turtles, turkey, peacock and a llama to name a few. There is a nice park next to the zoo for the kids to unwind on the slides and swings.

Unexpected surprise
This zoo may be small, but it's not short if fun. Nice well kept grounds, wolves, otters . Alligators, elk, and much much more, free admission, free parking. Take along a lunch , nice park with grills , 2 large playgrounds and a nice pond with elk to watch . On the grounds they're is also a nice small museum and a sunken garden .
