Great place to Walk the dog
I have rode my bike back and forth for miles. This is a very nice paved trail.. There are several places along the way to start or decide to leave the trail. I’ve also walked my dog on the trail, it’s really a shame that I need to have my dog protect me on such a beautiful trail, but there have been incidents in the last few years..

A very pleasant ride
This 20 mile trail connects Joliet with Park Forest. As you bike, you travel through several small communities. Frankfort is the place to stop to eat and shop. Access is available in many places. The trail is 100% paved and in good to very good shape. It's 85% shaded. Elevation is minimal.

An enjoyable ride
We rode its entire length from Joliet to Park Forest. This 100% paved trail is in good to very good shape. The trail is 95% shaded. The city of Frankfort is directly on the bike path where you can have a meal, get a drink, enjoy ice cream, or shop. We took a side trip to the Hickory Creek Preserve where we rode the Hickory Creek bike path.
