Make this your first stop.
You should make this your first stop in Galena as there is a wealth of information about the area available to you. Plenty of brochures and pamphlets about all there is to do and see in and around a Galena. There is also displays of historic artifacts and there are people there to answer any questions that you have.

History Buffs
If you're into Civil War and/or President Grant history, this is a great place to visit. They have a interesting collection of memorabilia,artifacts and paintings and it us free. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They also have tourist information.
