Mother Jones was an important part of our history. Worth the stop. She was a true Bad ass woman who deserves to be remembered.

    A Fight for Lives
    Mother Jones played a significant role in the labor movement. This cemetery is worth visiting. It’s not very far off I-55 and the memorial is beautifully maintained. The memorial, monument, gravesite are all educational and moving.

    Worth a short detour
    First, read a bit about this remarkable woman. Mother Jones was a force for the union movement and made her presence known throughout the country. This memorial to her and the miners she supported is not far off I-55 and worth the short detour to visit. The grave site is well maintained as is the complete cemetery. But do do some homework even it is is just a Google visit to her biography.
