Lovely drive through groves of trees plus scupture
A friend mentioned that she had worked at Morton Arboretum as a photographer. Since it was only 15 minutes from our Naperville hotel, we made it our first stop of the day. That morning I bought timed-entry tickets online when I knew what time we’d arrive. At the visitor’s center, I got a refund since we got free entry based on a reciprocal agreement with a garden I belong to back home. We started at the newly opened Grand Garden, then through the maze, then back to the car to drive around to the Human + Nature art sculpture throughout the garden. The meadows glowed with goldenrod and purple and white asters. It took more than an hour to drive around the one side of the garden so we chose to skip the other side since our next stop was the Chicago Botanic Garden. Well worth a stop if you are in the area.

Best garden to visit in any season!
With over 9 miles of roads that wander through various groves of trees, there is a wide variety of experiences tomenjoupy. After your drive through the grounds, be sure to park and visit the gift shop, the walk-up food counter or sit and enjoy lunch in their restaurant. Finally, spend some time in the Children’s Garden or walking one of the paths around the lake, the formal gardens or the tree loop. A wonderful day spent out of doors!
