    Great family tradition
our family has been coming here since I was a child. It's a beautiful nice quite park, with good fishing on a nice calm lake. There are boat rentals and a nice little restaurant on the lake. I'm not sure if the kids love the fishing here or the ice cream at the restaurant better. We make the trip here at least a few times each summer. A great family tradition. With nice quite camping spots.

    Nice wooded Midwest park.
We drove through all of Morrison-Rockwood State Park on paved roads and saw that there was a large, man-made lake; nice concrete boat ramp with good parking; a concession stand; lots of camping sites; an equestrian area; and picnic shelters. We hiked a mile or so along a well marked trail through thick woods near the lake on a blazing hot, humid day. A beautiful doe was our only wildlife sighting. There is no incredible scenery or natural formations, just nice, Midwest woods and lake in a well maintained park. We used a couple of pit toilets, drove past flush toilets and showers in the camping area. The park was underutilized, perhaps it is busier on weekends. Drove through a huge covered bridge on Crosby Road on the way to the park. Recently constructed, it lacks the charm of smaller, older covered bridges.
