Beautifully Scenic State Park
Wife and I visited this state park so we could hike some of the trails and enjoy some of the local scenery. Multiple paths with varying degrees of difficulty from which to choose. Some of the paths are fairly easy and straight forward, and other paths are much rougher and strenuous to hike. Plenty of trees and other foliage for shade, and there are some really great views of the river and woods, especially if you get to one of the overlook points. State Park also offers campground spaces, but we did not take advantage of during our visit. I’ve stayed at the some of the campsites in the past, which was how I knew about the park and its hiking trails.

Views of the river, wildlife
We made a short stop on a chilly day. We drove through the park and stopped at the various overlooks along the park road where we could look out over the river. We saw a bald eagle and other wildlife - wish we had brought our binoculars! For those with more time and more serious about it, there are multiple hiking trails. There is also camping in the park. Worth a stop!
