Good Food and Live Music
A traditional Irish Pub setting with a warm, fun and inviting atmosphere. We have twenty beers on tap and have been repeatedly told by customers that our Guinness pint is nothing short of outstanding. Our menu has a nice variety of options and features delicious Irish fare - fish and chips, shepherd's pie and boxtys are some of our top sellers - plus we easily have the BEST burger in the region! Our full kitchen is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. Built in an old bank (circa 1913), our first level is a classic Victorian style pub with a huge bar that's set up perfectly for socializing, Our second level features another full bar and ample seating for dining, plus it's available for special events, private parties, banquets, etc. We have two music stages and feature a variety of live entertainment - Irish, rock, blues, and solo artists - every weekend and some weekdays too. We know you'll be impressed with McGonigal's, and you don't need to be Irish to enjoy yourself here!

Irish Pub in downtown Barrington
Good Irish food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also late night. An extensive selection of tab beers. Lots of TV's. A good place to go if you are interested in European soccer (football).

Disappointing
For these UK citizens, this visit was not what the reviews led us to believe. Lovely atmosphere and gorgeous bar, but the Magners was flat, the Scotch Eggs were drowned in mustard with the wrong sausage meat and the full Irish breakfast was a major disappointment-the blood sausage was tasteless with a claylike consistency and what was passed off as an Irish bacon rasher was in fact a razor thin slice of ham with little taste. The Yukon gold potatoes were not worth the extra cost....Stick to the burger which was tasty, or head down to Boloneys for some really worthwhile sandwiches.
