Maxwell Park is huge. Tennis courts, Frisbee golf, fenced dog park, horseshoes, playground equipment and more. Well maintained area with plenty of lighting and parking.

big, undervisited park with a huge variety of offerings!!
Maxwell Park is an excellent place for: kids/youth: two large newer playgrounds, complete with traditional features (merry go round, for instance) and new equipment and ground padding. lots of green space for whatever activity you may bring. Baseball diamonds, basketball court, a pavilion with bathrooms, and tennis courts. Used to have soccer practice here and play tons of ultimate frisbee in the ample, well-kept fields. Adults/dogs: in the back of a park is a creek, with foot bridges that allow you to cross over into an expanse of prairie grasses with seldom-explored trails that offer quiet and solitude in nature. Great place to walk dogs, but of course there is an actual dog park at the place next to (yet another feature) the horseshoe pits. For everyone: there is a great, full-size, disc golf course strung throughout the northern section of the park.

Trails
Came here to explore the trails on the southwest side of the park. The entrance is across the bridge by disc golf hole 10. Began walking around the exterior ~1 mi and then the interior ~1 mile. Well kept trails and nice views for this dreary time of year. I saw many local species of birds, a heron, and a few rabbits. The interstate borders the west side of the park so it's not perfectly serene.
