Great Vantage Point

Easy to get to off of I-70. We stopped quickly as a storm was rolling in but we has the place to ourselves. This is a great view of the Arch. You can admire it from 3 different vantage points on the platform. Due to COVID-19 the bathrooms are closed.

    Getting There Not Easy
Knowing we could not get tour tickets to the Gateway Arch, we opted to view it from across the river. We were travelling North on Interstate 55, merged into Interstate 44 and planned to cross the river via Interstate 70. At that point traffic was all snarled up. Turns out the right lane to enter Interstate 70 is closed as are the first two exits after you make the turn. Exit 1 is the exit to Malcolm W Martin Memorial Park. We had to continue to Interstate 64 East, then take the first exit, turn left, turn left again across the Interstate and double back to Interstate 70 to exit from the other direction. Garmin was a huge help with directions. As others have said, expect the road leading to the park to be pretty rough with tires and other debris scattered about. The park was just around the corner at that point, and is beautiful. There were few people in the park, plenty of parking close to the platform. The view from the top was awesome! As a FYI, the ramps on Interstate 70 will be closed until Oct.2021. Access from other directions appear to be open.

    Worth the View
Nice little park across the river. Wheelchair accessible too. If you time it and visit at noon the geyser in the back end of the park is a sight to enjoy. So sad it only is a daily event.
