This is a welcoming group of like-minded, creative people. I've been a member for about six weeks now and have had many pleasant experiences. I've taken several classes and spent many hours as a member just using the studio and supplies to create art. I've met many of the instructors and staff. They've all been friendly and helpful. I've been at the collective working when young children were having a class and a couple of times when groups of children were having parties. This is a great place to introduce people, young and old to art. It's a 'safe' place to create. There is never any worry about criticism. Everyone is accepted, no matter how talented. I was lucky enough to attend the 2nd anniversary of the MAC and participate in some Community projects. If you'd like a creative outlet, this is a perfect place to be.
